6. SAPICS Conference: Thank You!
Thank you to all of you who attended the SAPICS 30th Anniversary Conference at the beginning of this month. Over 1250 people attended the event and the feedback has been phenomenal.
Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to share your thoughts and ideas with us. We are always grateful. We are delighted that the feedback has been so positive and will take and use the constructive comments which have been sent to us.
We are of course very grateful to all the speakers without whom there would not be a
SAPICS conference.

7. SAPICS Conference is Biggest ever
“What I saw and heard at SAPICS’s 30th anniversary conference at Sun City, South Africa renewed my faith that the African continent promises growth opportunities that are still badly underestimated by the outside world. I have argued in the past that Africa represents the next great growth opportunity for the world. What I saw at the SAPICS Conference confirmed my belief that supply chain will lead the way for this growth by connecting people, places, and products. The theme of the event was, appropriately enough, Capabilities for Growth. I saw them and they are real.” This is how the milestone event has been summed up by Kevin O’Marah, chief strategy officer at AMR Research in the USA, editor of “Supply Chain Saves the World”, and author of over 300 reports and articles, including bylines in Financial Times, Business Week and Supply Chain Management Review.
