PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the actual vs. planned adherence of routes by making use of tracking software, pro-active communication to customers in terms of expected delivery times, resolving customer queries and driver interaction.

SUMMARY OF KEY JOB OUTPUTS / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPA’S):

  • Route adherence management.
  • Daily.
  • Liaison to stores.

  • Handling delivery queries.
  • Daily.
  • Aiding drivers.
  • Daily.
  • Vehicle event acknowledgement and reporting.
  • Daily.
  • Vehicle abuse management.
  • Daily.
  • Liaise with the planning team in order to identify and improve planning.
  • Daily.

 

EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • As this is an internship position, no work experience or formal qualification is required (prior work experience in the Logistics/Supply chain industry or Logistics/Transport study completion would be beneficial).
  • Exposure and intermediate understanding of Microsoft and relevant programs.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
